Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) has partnered with Kennedy & Company for more than eight years and is our longest tenured net price calculator partner.
After starting with tuition and fee reset work initially, the partnership grew to include the implementation of the full net price calculator tool.
TSince then, the University has continued the relationship, renewing 1stAid contracts two separate times.
They have used the tool under both the old federal methodology and the more recent update to the new SAI federal methodology.In addition to the ease of use and its accuracy, VCU finds the tool especially useful in helping students understand the differential costs associated with the myriad academic programs availabe.
VCU launched 1stAid in 2020 and continues to use the product today. In the last six-month period VCU has seen 885 users interact with the tool.
VCU serves a large Pell-eligible population and is focused on providing clear cost transparency for its students and families. VCU uses the tool, and its counseling features, in its enrollment one-stop to help students understand costs, aid, and the impact of enrollment decisions on debt and time to degree.
